澳门王中王论坛 receives The President鈥檚 Volunteer Service Award

As Citizen at Work expands in the Americas, the dedication of 澳门王中王论坛 volunteers is being recognized nationally. On May 31, at a ceremony held at the Houston Food Bank, 澳门王中王论坛 was recognized with 澳门王中王论坛 volunteers donated 327 hours at the food bank last year. 

澳门王中王论坛 U.S. CSR manager Emma Chambers accepted the certificate, letter signed by President Joe Biden and lapel pin on behalf of the company.

鈥淯nbeknownst to me, the food bank nominated 澳门王中王论坛 for the award,鈥 Chambers said. 鈥淚t is an honor to receive the award and to know that the food bank recognizes our effort and wants it to be acknowledged at the highest level.鈥

In 1989, then U.S. President George H. W. Bush presented his vision for 鈥渁 thousand points of light鈥 during his inaugural address and invited the nation to take action through service to their fellow citizens. One year later, the was created, and since that time, more than 2 million nonprofits, individuals and corporations have been recognized.

The award was established to recognize the important role of volunteers in the United States鈥 strength and national identity. It honors those whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation and inspires those around them to take action. The award is administered by the Points of Light and AmeriCorps.
